two questions, what is the average range you get on a tank of gas? Is the handling as bad as the article claims?

I've had three Vrods. an 02, 06 night rod and a 12 muscle. The early gen with the 3.7 gallon tank I could only get about 120-130 miles tops. My muscle with a 5 gallon tank i averaged 190-210 furthest I pushed it was 225. I think they handle amazing. The muscle was my favorite bike I've ever had.

I've had one for almost 35,000 miles and beat it daily. The bike will handle well enough for 99% of non sport bike riders to say "wow that handles great", because let's face it, the average H-D rider takes their bike to about 50% capacity in the handling dept. Gas mileage? Didn't buy it for that attribute, but if you're riding it like you are supposed to, I get about 120 miles before the needle is a notch above empty, and still have almost a gallon in the tank when I top off... So lets say that's another 25-30 miles? So about 150 to a tank. The bike lives at 5k plus. If you ride it under that rpm, it's like short shifting a Ferrarri. Pointless.
