Default Finally Dyno'd my HQ120

This is a repeat from the dyno thread, but I figured folks might see it here.
__________________________
Well... I have been putting off the dyno for some time, as I have been using a DTT TCFI-IID and tuning it in myself. There are no shortage of "hot sports opinions" when it comes to "Auto Tuners" and build results - read: NUMBERS.

As luck would have it, I picked theworst "air day" we've had this year. It was 90+ with very high humidity... sweat standing still kinda thing.

Frankly, I don't care too much about the numbers, because this MF will flat RUN & that's what I was after.... When I talked about the build with Doug @ HQ, I was after TORQUE.... with little emphasis or care about the HP numbers, because Torque is what we FEEL and what makes these heavyazz Baggers Getup & GO....

I already know the AFR traces are not nice & flat... this is a DTT "auto tuner". Looks like I may try a Direct Link tune jsut for comparison sake.

Build is as follows:
2005 RG
HQ 120 (actually 121)
HQ Heads
HQ prep'd jugs & custom pistons
HQ575 cams
10.5:1 CR
Crank by Darkhorse
HPI 55mm TB
Marren 6.1 gm/sec injectors
D&D FatCat w/BigBore baffle
Baker DD6 tranny
Baker KKK cutch
DTT TCFI-IID
SAE Results: 116/157 -> Mission Accomplished!

Phil -- that is a true torque monster -- I can't wait to get some "found money" to go 120 -- you and the other motorheads are an inspiration to us 95 and 103 guys.

If I read that correctly it is:

157 ft-lbs @ 2600 rpms
116 hp @ 4878 rpms

Phil that is totally insane regardless of how the weather was when you got the bikedynoed. I hope you have a driver's backrest because when you twist the throttle you could lose the bike from under you...lol

BTW...What kind of gas mileage do you get?

That was me EXACT response... with a couple explatives mixed in!

It was HOT and HUMID! I think the dyno only read 90 degrees F, but the humidityhas been brutally high all day. Big storms rolling in again. It was basically a suana in the dyno cell... butthey had some AWESOME fans keeping the air moving...

Mileage is 40+, "IF" I ride like a normal guy...

All I can say is "Holy chit, Batman!!!" 156 ft-lbs of torque BEFORE 2500 rpms!!!! (Note: That's about double what a stock 96" motor makes.)

Frankly, I'm amazed that a 1/4" longer crank (4 5/8" instead of 4 3/8) andonly seven more c.i.yield about 20-30 more ft-lbs of torque compared to a 113". Looks like a winner build. Congrats, Phil.

Holy crap - that's a bucketload of torque! It must be an absolute blast to ride.
Very much looking forward to the long term report, how it holds up over time and reliability (hopefully non) issues.
In a couple more years I can easily see buying a new Ultra for the 2 up touring rig, but keeping my current 'oo FLHT and building something cool with a motor like yours to get in trouble with ;-)

Nice work!
