Those guys on CHiPs would’ve loved this old school service bike.

Vintage police cars and bikes are incredibly cool, there’s no denying that. If you’ve ever seen The Blues Brothers, then you definitely know what we mean. But while there are a ton of vintage police cars out there in the world, you don’t see a lot of police bikes.

Certainly not as nice as this 1966 Harley Police Servi-Car trike. That’s partially due to the fact that only 625 were produced in 1966. This particular model served faithfully at the San Francisco Police Department, and it looks no worse for wear.

All the goodies you would expect on a police motorcycle are there as well. There’s the CB radio, siren, and lights. In case you don’t realize that this is a cop bike, there are “POLICE” decals front and back. The big storage box out back may not be suitable for hauling criminals, but it is quite spacious.

When they were produced, the Servi-Cars cost significantly more than a standard Harley – hundreds of dollars more, in fact. In addition, they weren’t just used by the police, Servi-Cars were used as delivery vehicles and for various public duties. Say what? Thankfully this one has all the original goodies and is in excellent shape.

This incredible 1966 Harley Servi-Car initially caught our eye not too long ago when we were surfing the web and saw that it sold for a seemingly cheap price of $21,000 on eBay. We’re sure it makes for a great investment. But we hope the new owner is prepared to face drivers who slow down when they see him in their rear view mirror.
