If you like motorcycles, riding, and parties, there’s an event that’s right up your alley. The Hot Bike Tour. The event lasts a total of five days, and covers 1,000 miles with endless and wild fun in between. Recently, a ride began in Asheville, North Carolina, and ended in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

One of the coolest aspects of the Hot Bike Tour, other than the parties and scenery, is the Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-Off. Twelve of the country’s top bike builders are invited to bring their coolest creations, and they never disappoint! At least most of them don’t…

These custom-built bikes are judged by event attendees at every stop, and are also ridden for the entire duration of the tour. This makes the event truly unique, and places a lot of pressure on the builders. Hence, builders must create something that is both, show worthy and reliable on the road.

Most noteworthy, one of the very few bikes built for this competition is up for grabs! This 1988 Harley-Davidson FXR was purpose-built for the Hot Bike Tour by Barnstorm Cycles out of Spencer, Massachusetts. As a result, it’s a super cool and one-of-a-kind bike that’ll be the envy of all your biker buddies.

Barnstorm ditched the stock FXR drivetrain in exhange for an S&S 143″ motor, and Baker DD7 7-speed transmission. Primarily for power and reliability, of course. There are plenty of custom parts, and enough personality to make this unique bike stand apart from everything on the road.

Lastly, Barnstorm Cycles has put this unique ride up for sale for someone else to enjoy. If you’re a fan of show-quality bikes that are comfortable for long rides, it’s hard to beat this Harley-Davidson FXR. Even if it’s not your cup of tea, be sure and check out the Hot Bike Tour next time it rolls around. You won’t be disappointed!
