Ultimate Motorcycling takes new Harley for a spin, finds controversial 2018 model to be the ‘best example of a fantastic breed.’
Harley-Davidson’s new 2018 lineup of motorcycles has been met with mixed reviews from enthusiasts and die-hard fans, alike. But Ultimate Motorcycling is one of the first outlets to get their hands on a 2018 CVO Street Glide and found it to be a great bike. Here are five things we learned from the publication’s review.

1. The new Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine ‘is both a torquer and a revver.’
The engine “is more than happy to rev right to the 5,500 rpm redline, letting the gentle rev limiter do its duty,” says Ultimate Motorcycling. But the motor still makes globs of addictive torque. “Most of the time, however, you’ll want to take advantage of the earth-moving 124 ft/lbs of torque pulsating to the tires at just 3500 rpm.”
2. The new Boom Box 6.5GT provides enough oomph to listen to anything in spite of the wind noise.
Ultimate Motorcycling likes its music loud and clear, and the CVO Street Glide delivers: “I can assure you that with 900 watts and Stage II speakers in the saddleback lids, fairing, and lowers, the CVO Street Glide puts out a good, loud sound,” says the outlet.

3. The new CVO Street Glide has a tight suspension setup that makes it ride better than other tourers on the road.
