Big, mean, and orange, this classic work truck still knows how to haul gear in style.

We found this cool custom ’41 Ford panel truck listed on the Mecum Auctions website ahead of its sale at the Harrisburg 2018 auction. The auction, which runs from August 2nd to August 4th, features countless cool cars and trucks crossing the auction block.

This one, however, piqued our interest with its wild orange paint job and Harley-Davidson panel graphics. There’s other cool Harley-inspired touches, too, like the wheel center caps and the “WILLIEG” license plate. There’s a few other cool details, too, like harley mirrors, shift knob, and pedals, all from actual Harley motorcycles.

Given that it’s a panel delivery, you’d expect to be able to haul a bike in the back, but the tubbed rear end and roll cage make that nearly impossible. That’s okay by us, though, because this panel delivery is built for hauling something else.

Powered by a Ford 351 Windsor with a 6-71 blower backed up by a Ford C6 automatic, we’re sure this truck has no problem smoking those massive rear tires when the need arises. It’s not all about going fast, though. This classic truck would make an excellent summer cruiser, with air conditioning, a modern stereo, and custom bucket seats making the interior a nice place to hang out.

You can’t ride your Harley all the time, and for those days when you need a little extra space, we think that this is probably the coolest way to bring home the bacon (and eggs, and milk, and bread…).

We think this truck would be best suited as a parts chaser for a custom bike shop, picking up and dropping off custom components throughout the day. One thing’s for sure: come August, one very lucky Harley fan is going to end up with one seriously cool truck.
