Happy Birthday Harley-Davidson!

Thousands of riders descended on Milwaukee labor day weekend to celebrate Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary. They pretty much turned the city into a seething mass of bikers, tribute bands, and parties. The biggest event of the weekend was the Harley-Davidson parade…

… But lets be real. That might’ve been the event all the newstations covered, but mud wrasslin’ was where it was at.

Truth is, there were loads of events going down that weekend including some pretty fantastic concerts. Kid Rock did indeed show up as a performer. The forums raised a huge stink about that a few months ago, but from everything that I read, it was a fun show. Also, there was this little old band named Aerosmith that apparently showed up.

Yeah. Aerosmith. The Doobie Brothers , Toby Kieth, Common, even Lupe Fiasco made had live performances. Understandably, concerts aren’t for everyone. For those people there was loads of eye candy.

Lastly, Harley took the festivities as a good time to announce some big news. They’re building a brand new bike. It’ll probably be around 500cc and, likely, constructed in India. Also? There’s a chance they’re working on an electronic Harley. Crazy right? Well, it’s crazy news for a crazy weekend.
