Harley-Davidson Dominates the Santa Rosa Mile Flat-Track Final
As Harley-Davidson has been doing across most national racing series, the Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson racing team dominated the famous flat-track mile-long race in California.
Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson factory rider Brad, “The Bullet” Baker, dominated the field to win the Ramspur Winery Santa Rosa Mile by a commanding 10.5 seconds. In case you’re not too familiar with flat-track, or any kind of motorcycle racing, anything over two seconds is basically an eternity. Just imagine 10.5!
“Great way to end this up-and-down day and season,” said Baker. “Running in the semi-final gave me a chance to try some new lines and be set up for the main.”
Harley’s XR750 motorcycle took the win on the track at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, and was first of the 2016 season for Baker in four combined podium appearances on the 14-race schedule. The 23-year-old racer from Washington State won the bronze medal at the flat-track event at the X Games Austin in 2015, and won the 2013 AMA Grand National Championship riding a Harley-Davidson XR750 at the age of just 20 years old.
Much like the Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson & Vance Hines racing team, Baker hopes to maintain his supremacy throughout the entire season.
Good luck!
