Harley has just issued a recall for 436 trikes due to manufacturing defect. There was an incorrectly machined part on trikes manufactured from July 24th to Sepetember 2nd that creates excessive steering angle. The problem is that the inner fairing can come intact with the brake fluid reservoir, damaging it and causing a loss of fluid.
The issue is only affecting trikes, so riders of other Rushmore equipped motorcycles need not worry. If your Harley is one of those caught in the recall dragnet, you should recieve a notification from the company. Dealers will repair your trike free of charge.
