Harley Davidson Seat Options
If you own a Harley Davidson or are thinking about getting one, perhaps you’ve wondered what kind of options are out there for the seat. Any number of manufacturers produce aftermarket seats for Harleys, but the first place to look is at genuine Harley Davidson seats. They’ve got options for you.
Solo or Two-Up
The first choice that you will have is whether you want a solo or a
two-up seat. If you are pretty much always a solo rider you probably
don’t need the two-up (although, they do add their own particular
style), but if you are frequently accompanied, you will probably want
to shy away from the solo seat.
Solo Seat Choices
The solo spring saddle is a retro bobber styled seat that is
available in both black and brown leather. A brawler seat – a cowhide
saddle seat that hugs the frame rails is another option. A low profile
seat is also offered, but only for Sport models – and it won’t fit all
of them. The Reach solo seat is the same basic type of seat, but it is
made for Harleys beyond the Sport model.
Two-Up Seat Options
If you are looking for a close to the bar riding position, then the
Reach two-up might be the seat for you. The sun-downer is made with
long rides in mind. It’s a low seat with comfort in mind and built in
back support. While the Rally Runner looks lean, it has some added
support for both the rider and passenger. The Sidekick seat is designed
for a classy look and to provide comfort for both people on the bike.
Another that’s designed for long rides is the pillow look. It has a
wider format and plenty of comfort built into the seat. With Harley
Davidson logos built into it, the Badlander is a classy looking seat
that is just for Sportsters.
While there are also aftermarket options, Harley Davidson offers a
number of choices for seats. The lineup is subject to change and not
all seats fit all bikes. Check with your Harley dealer for more
information.
