38th Annual Harley Toy Ride a Big Success in Colorado
Over 800 bikers — including a Harley-riding Santa — help ensure that local kids in Grand Junction have a merry holiday season.
Motorcyclists and H.O.G. members in and around Grand Junction, Colorado, are definitely on Santa’s “Nice” list after what they’ve accomplished last Saturday.
On Dec. 2, over 800 bikers made their way across the Grand Valley as part of the 38th annual Harley Toy Ride to ensure that local children have a merry holiday season and toys under their tree come Christmas morning.
“It feels really good just knowing that for a few dollars you can help a kid be able to wake up on Christmas morning with a toy under the tree,” Western Slope H.O.G. Director Paul Watters told local news station KKCO 11.
Watters, who suspiciously looks a lot like ol’ St. Nick, said that proceeds from last year’s Harley Toy Ride helped over 800 families and more than 3,000 kids.

For last weekend’s 38th annual Harley Toy Ride, participants met up at the Grand Junction Harley-Davidson, where the entry for the ride was one new toy. It was kickstands up at noon, when a Harley-riding Santa led fellow motorcyclists to an area middle school, where the toys were dropped off at the Salvation Army, which will distribute them to needy families.
Afterward, Santa and his fellow kind-hearted Harley pals were treated to a party at Warehouse 25, where there were door prizes, raffles, and live music.
