Also known as french fries (which are actually Belgian, but that’s a whole other post). In this case though, our invention went over there as a small Alsatian shop, Art of Racer, turns out beautiful hot rods and choppers inspired by American speed culture. Featured here is a bike they built back in 2008.

It’s based on a 1991 HD Sportster but the only original components are the engine, tranny and carb. Everything else was fabricated at Art of Racer, by owner/builder Cyril Gautier, from the frame to the modded springer front-end to the rear fender. We love to make surrender jokes and think of the French as effeminate, but when you see something like this it’s clear that there is a universal language– bikes. If you’re ever over in the Alsace region, town of Dachstein pay Cyril a visit and admire his work. Or just go here.
