One of the most common front tire Harley Davidson repairs is a full replacement. Whether the tire has become damaged or compromised due to road use or if you’re just rotating it out after a certain period of time, the process of tire replacement is relatively straightforward.

How to Replace the Front Tire on a Harley Davidson

Mount the Bicycle and Remove the Tire

You’ll need to begin the process of replacing the tire by mounting the bike. If you have a motorcycle jack, use it to prop up the front half of the bicycle. If you have a side mount that you can use to lift the entire machine off of the ground, this will work as well. After you’ve propped the bike up, remove the existing front tire according to the instructions in the user manual for the particular model of Harley Davidson.

Replace the Tire

With a matching replacement tire, carefully install the new tire on the wheel spoke at the front of the bike. Ensure that the tire is securely attached in order to be sure that the setup is complete and safe. Finally, remove the motorcycle from the mount and carefully test drive it to be sure that the tire is up to your level of satisfaction.
