Save the Motorcycles: One of the Funniest Things I’ve Seen in a While

It’s not too often I’ve thought—meaning never, like, not even once—”you know, a Sarah McLachlan song would really improve this.” But there’s a first time for everything.

If you’ve watched television in the past decade, you’ve probably seen those painful abused animal commercials with the weepy Sarah McLachlan soundtrack. And while abusing sentient creatures is infinitely worse, it’s important to remember that every day, right here in the United States and all around the globes, motorcycles are horribly disfigured in the name of making them into a “cafe racer.” Now, I like a proper cafe bike, and I think if Harley did a cafe-esque version of the venerable XR750 it’d sell like bags of ice in Hell—but there’s no excuse for some of these monstrosities. I think “Angel” would work perfectly here.

The best thing that can be said about the bikes in this video is that none of them are Harleys. But just because I happen to prefer large dogs doesn’t mean I want to see little ones be abused.
