Given that they’re all felons, I doubt any SOA members have permits to carry firearms in California. Even if you’ve never had so much as a parking ticket, it’s virtually impossible to get one in the Golden State. So this is another work of fiction. In reality, most motorcycle club members do not carry firearms unless they’re licensed to do so. It’s hardly unusual to have contact with law enforcement when you’re a club member, and felons in possession of a firearm face an automatic five-year federal prison sentence.
