York Bike Night

Switching from Friday to Saturday promises to make the already awesome 2018 York Bike Night bigger and better than ever.

York Bike Night annually brings thousands of bikers to downtown York, Pennsylvania. Many of whom tend to show up days in advance to enjoy the full scope of activities. But this year, organizers have moved the incredibly-popular event from Friday to Saturday, September 22. Turns out, quite a few people wanted to attend, but were unable to because of work commitments. Couple that with rush hour traffic for residents simply trying to get home Friday night, and the switch makes perfect sense.

Thus, you can expect that the 2018 York Bike Night to be the biggest and best one yet. The festivities are set to kick off with a motorcycle parade starting at the York Expo Center at 3 p.m. Those who wish to participate don’t have to register, it’s totally free, and all makes and models are welcome. Bikes begin lining up at 2:30 and everyone rolls out at 4:30.

Live music is planned for the duration of the event, starting at 2:15 and running through 8:30. And that’s just part of the Bike Night Street Party, which also includes lots of demos, food vendors, displays, and various other entertainment in and around Continental Square in Downtown York City. The entire lineup of 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be on display, along with a Vintage Iron Bike Review.

And if that isn’t enough, York’s Harley-Davidson plant will be offering tours to the public Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can also take test rides on 2019 models and enjoy a host of entertainment including a stunt show and police skills demonstration. Music, food, and merchandise rounds out one heck of a side show.
