I have about 400 songs on the drive, issue I'm having if I scroll to artist & select and then select all for that artist it may show say 39 songs and sometimes will start at say song 19 of 39, I can scroll back to song 1 just curious if there is some fix (ie format or tag issue) or am I just a flash drive idiot?
Forgot to mention most of what is on the drive is from ITunes and the majority of songs came from file share site's

That's seek, not scan.

For intsance select media-usb-artist-AC/DC-All- shows 39 songs
drive will start songs at 13 of 39, If I want song 1 I have seek back to it

 

I understood what you said. You still haven't confirmed if the shuffle option is on or off (item 5 in the attached). If shuffle is off, then it should select the songs in the order they are found on the USB drive. Song 13 may be the first one on the media, since there is no way to assure song 1 is first found, except it may work if you reformat the USB drive, the copy the songs to the drive one at a time in the order you want them to appear.

 

It also starts where you leave off, normally. So if you're on song 13 then go to radio then back it will be on song 13 again.

Yes I am aware of its starts where it left off, whenever I select it by Artist it never starts at song 1 by the artist I select

Going to pick up a new drive today and experiment with the formatting

Mine does that to. I have just made it a habit to always scroll up to song 1. I have no fix for you.
