Default Speed Limit on H-D Boom System?

Just wondering, since it's the feature that I seem to miss most about my Garmin GPS, does anyone think that the moco will ever add the speed limit feature to the existing software, like maybe in a future update? Is it realistic to think that's even possible? Why or why not?

That was one of the many things about my 665 that I miss. It was always nice to roll in to a small town and always know what the speed limit was. Often times, we would come to a turn from one road to another and it could be 15 miles before you'd see a speed limit sign.

Out of 30K miles, I can only think of a couple times the GPS didn't match the road speed and the Zumo was always lower. It was usually when a road went from 60 to 70 or 75.

I also miss being able to display 4 data fields on the screen at the same time.

It is just a database to be added but I bet no, it will never be added. I also like the feature and it would be a nice addition.

No, just like they'll never display the GPS speed either.

You can change one of the data fields on the screen to speed. If you go to Canada you can change it to show KPH as well. Just select on of the changeable on screen fields and set to Speed.

This is probably the function I miss most on the infotainment sat nav!! You guys have got it easy over there being in one country an all, try going touring round Europe through 7 or 8 different countries all with different limits and for that reason alone I'm tempted to fit the Zumo 660 on the bars of my new 15 FLHTKSE as I did with my 14 LIMITED!!

No, what's being talked about is displaying the posted speed limit for a given street, not what speed you are currently traveling. It's not available on Boom.

If we are making a wish list ...

I'd like to see context sensitive items. On the Zumo when I am in a route, the bottom corner display is when I will arrive. When I am not in a route, that same spot has the current time (or I can select anything else for it). I would like to be able to select what is displayed based on the context of the screen such as in a route or just displaying the map.

I miss that from the 665 also. Heck, I wish they would have just made the 665 screen bigger and used it. The 665 is way better than the Boom gps.
