Rushmore Touring Sparkplug Wire issue
#21
Didn't know about this, so I went and checked. Sure enough it's been rubbing and the wire is damaged and that's with just a little over 2000 miles on it. Looks like the wire will need to be replaced, so should I put a sleeve over it or a longer wire to avoid this problem? Tried turning it, but it didn't seem to help much. I'm more inclined to do the sleeve.

If you read my post... BEND the terminal. It is just a light piece of metal inside the boot, and I assure you, it will bend. Don't bend it back and forth... but bending it once won't hurt anything.

Okay I will try that. Must have misread it and I went and turned it to see if it would clear. Thanks

No. Even if there was any bare metal it would still not do anything to the inside of the tank. The spark, if any, would be on the outside at the point the wire and tank intersect.

Not Quite A Recall List . . .
A silly question, but . . . where is there a list of 'known issues' that I can look at for the purpose of taking early correction against? This doesn't seem to rise to the level of recall . . . Is there a list of 'not quite a recall' with corresponding recommended fixes? I have a 2015 Ultra Ltd. Fortunately, the clutch master cylinder recall doesn't apply to my motorcycle.
