Compass "North" indicator points South when travelling on E/W road
#11
It's working properly, you're just interpreting it incorrectly.
In each of those modes you listed your icon (arrow or bike) will always be heading
"Up".
The red portion of the pointer is the business end. When traveling north the red part is pointing straight up.
When traveling south, the red part will be pointing down.
East, red pointing to the right
West, red part pointing to the left
Sit back and think about it for a minute and maybe the light bulb will de on.

Now go explain it to your dealer lol. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Yeah, a little RTFM would have been good for me just now. Most of the system is reasonably intuitive, so you don't really need too much RTFM, but it might have been helpful just now.
In this case, once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, I used to drive submarines for a living, where a quick glance at a compass, your own heading, and a target bearing allows you to pretty much instantly build a mental picture about what's going on around you, and that experience led to me to interpret the HD display incorrectly. Now that I understand the HD paradigm, my detailed description above about north south east west, and up down left right, is really laughable..."he's so CLOSE, how can he not SEE what's right in front of his stupid face?!?" Thank goodness for the interwebs so I don't have to RTFM...

For the "3D" and "2D/Up=Travel Direction" modes, here is what I see:
- When I'm travelling North, the compass points UP (North)
- When I'm travelling South, the compass points DOWN (North)
- When I'm travelling East, the compass points RIGHT (South)
- When I'm travelling West, the compass points LEFT (South)
The funny part is that you were so close to getting it. You explain it perfectly above.

It wasn't fake O2 coming out of "The Bomb", it was fake O2 coming out of the oxygen candles. And they always pumped up the Oxygen during Field Day too!
