OK, I've seen threads about how fast the Rushmore bikes will go.
Tonight on my way home going north on I-75 just above Knoxville I had my 2014 Streetglide pegged at 120 MPH.
I'm sure it would have gone faster but I was running up on traffic.
Not to mention the Anderson County Sheriff Dept. Animal Control truck I flew past before I knew it. It was dark!

I once saw a deer get hit head on by a train. This post reminded me of it and lemme tell ya, not much for remains after that!

I once got to 90 on my limited.
So do these bikes have some type of speed limiter on them, or what happens when they get up to top speed?
My Silverado has a speed limiter on it....95mph with my foot on the floor, and then it slows down to 90, then back up to 95, and then slows down to 90...

I headed south down 505, and I decided to see how fast the new Harley could go. So I dropped the hammer and WOW! It went from 65 to 120 in nothing flat. As I approached 120 - my Street Glide 2014 was not even pulling - and in fact - had TONS more to go (throttle was not pegged out).
As I blew past 120 mph - I eased off the throttle and slowed down to 70 mph, which crazy as it sounds was so smooth it blew my mind.
So yeah - these Rushmore's are crazy fast. Now - with the stage one I just had put on this last week, when I hit 80-90, its like its not even pulling at all, more like it's cruising.
So yeah, they can easily do 120. Although the speedo only shows 120mph max, I would think it could do 130 probably.
I'm *NOT* going to try that. I did the 120 as a lark - and now that I have - I'm done, question answered. I'm perfectly content to just ride at 65-70.
But - yes. Stock, they can easily make it up to 120 mph. Very smooth in fact, you really don't feel any pulling either. When you throttle back and just allow the wind to slow you down, its a very smooth transition in slowing down as well.
