Hi, I just noticed the other day that once I am on 6 gear on my 15 RK, the green 6 gear indicator light on the stock tach, doesnt turn on. Anyone else experience this or what can it be?

 

If your bike has Cruise control, see if it will engage.

If it won't, your Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) has probably crapped out.

If does work, then maybe the LED in the gauge is bad.

Even if you don't have cruise it's usually the VSS.

Under warranty in any case.

 

Yes my Cruise Control works just fine, then it is possible the VSS? defitnely have to make an appointment with the dealer... Warranty.. Thank you.

 

I wish my new 16 Street Glide had a green indicator light for 6th. I was used to that on my old bike. The new one has an led for each gear, which is OK, but I wish there was a green one for "road gear". I wonder how many other feel the same way.

I dont think the RK has a green 6th gear indicator. Just toggle the switch where you see the gear/rpm in your stock speedo.

 

Kinda wondering the same. If it has a gear indicator (I don't know RK gauges sorry ) it prob won't have a green 6 led.

If your cruise works, it's not your VSS...

 

My 07 RK had the green 6th gear light,my 16 does not just the tach in the window ..
