You should be able to look at your current pads and have a pretty good idea what percentage you've worn down over 14,000 miles. They're not terribly thick to start with so it can be a bit deceiving. You should be getting far better life out of the rear pads then the front. I can't fault stock Harley pads although they're not cheap. A nice balance between pad wear, disc wear, wet braking and dusting.

How would you address were the pads are the thinnest? Normally you change both pads at the same time so I'm just curious what you would do to address a side that's wearing faster? Are the Harley Calipers "full floating"? If so then both sides should wear equally...if not then yes one side would wear more than the other but other than replacing the pads, I'm not sure what else I would do.

I drive bumper to bumper traffic on I-95 rear pads we're metal to metal with only 4500 miles. Replaced them with Harley pads and will see when the wear out. I purchased EBC pads for 1/2 the cost of original pads and will use them next time I replace the pads.

Bought them on line from powersport superstore on Amazon.

By address that means pay attention to the one with the most wear. When it hits the limit change the set. No, modern Harley calipers don't float. They normally wear fairly evenly.

I replaced mine on my '15 FLHTCU at 14000 miles.
I'm not a heavy braker either.
Must have been some bad pads.

I use them on the REAR ONLY on my non ABS bike. Not much chance of locking a wheel with them.

Especially when wet.
