Florida East Coast Roads/Rides
Put this in the regional (Southeast) section and go zero hits so gonna try it here and hope the moderators leave it here long enough to get some ideas, TIA. Greetings Brothers and Sisters, I and 3 friends will be riding your East Coast for 6 days in late February. We're looking for local scenic rides, no highway if possible. We'll be starting out around Daytona, staying there for 2 days then down to Vero Beach for 2 days and finishing up in Ft. Lauderdale for the last 2 days. Our rooms are already taken care of, just looking for some nice riding roads to fill our days, some scenic destinations to aim for and maybe some nice restaurants to end our nights. TIA ...

Must ride is The Loop in Daytona...A1A from Ormand Beach to St Augustine is another nice ride along the Ocean..8 miles south of Daytona on A1A is Ponce Inlet...several good restaurants at the end along with a Light House you can climb....otherwise Vero Beach is about nothing....Ft Lauderdale also is about nothing.....kill the hotels and go to Key West, from Daytona it’s 275mi to Florida City...then 125mi to Key West...those last 125mi will be some of the nicest you’ll find anywhere...lot of bridges and water on both sides...nice easy ride in 1 day..Stay as close to Duval as possible and have fun for couple days...if you don’t hit Key West your missing a great ride

You may also want to contact the local HOG chapter who may have some routes to share.

Check for shared rides in HD's road planner... as for "the loop" it is among the best of Florida rides, but that doesn't mean it is anywhere close to great. None of these are 'great' either but you're in Florida.,,
A1A from Jacksonville to Miami... East Coast.
Much of 27 except do not get within 50 miles of Orlando unless you have a reason for going there. East center
301 from the state line to... west center
41 South of Sarasota to Homestead to 1 to Key West. West coast

Personally I don;t care if Florida roads are boring. I'm not about riding and looking around at scenery or riding four hours to eat a cheeseburger or clam roll at some far away diner. I ride a motorcycle and travel on the quickest route to get to motorcycle events so I can look at motorcycles, talk about motorcycles and hang out with motorcycle people. My attention is focused on the dangers of the road and not the lakes and streams off in the distance.. I'm more about the destination and not so much about the journey.

Once in Vero Beach you have A1A along the beaches and Hwy 60 riding West as far as Tampa.
If you’re traveling on the weekend South of Daytona, there’s Space Coast Harley off I-95 in Palm Bay, just South of Melbourne (321-259-1311). They usually have weekend events and sometimes free food & drinks.
South of Vero Beach you can find free BBQ foods at Treasure Coast Harley
(772-287-3871) off US-1 in Stuart sometimes,
and Palm Beach Harley (561-659-4131) almost every Saturday and sometimes on Sundays off I-95 at 45 Street exit.
I frequent all all of the above dealerships.
