Default NOOB question about Rushmore

I recently acquired my first Harley, a '16 Road Glide Ultra. I understand it is a "Rushmore" model, what exactly does this mean for me?

For your first Harley you bought probably, hands down the best bike Harley makes...
I may be partial though.

I call 14-16 Rushmores. 17 & up models are M8's.

Yup my bad, that was a typo. What I was really getting at is that I don't consider 17+ Rushmores.

That's how I tend to sort them out as well.

Another Rushmore improvement that people tend to forget about (and isn't mentioned in the article linked above) is the louder horn. It's a noticeable difference from previous models.

Personally, with the exception of the POS OEM water pump on the 2014-2016 Rushmore Tour Bikes, I think those were finest Harleys produced in a long time. I have the 2015, ride with lots of folks with all the different model Rushmores, and they have been rock solid model years. Lots of high mileage Rushmores out there going strong.
