Is it necessary to add a highflow air filter to a 2014 103 engine when using the FP3? Trying to save a few bucks.

 

No... You can add a FP3 or any other tuner to a completely stock bike if you want. Your not going to get a big hp gain but the bike should run cooler and smoother when tuned properly because you can lower the target air/fuel ratio. To get the best power gains you would need to add the air cleaner/intake, new head pipe with no cat, and some free flowing mufflers to go along with FP3.

 

Thank you,, I am using the SE 4inch streetcannons. I will enentually get the highflow air filter. I just wanted to get the FP3 installed.
