Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Looking at the HD fangs but they don't seem to fit the Rushmore models yet. I see JES makes such a beast but at twice the price of the HD ones. New catalog due soon so I'll just wait to see if HD makes a version to work with the Rushmore bikes.

I'm guessing it's the lower fairings as I have a street glide with no lowers and I don't have any issue.

Quality is good, but I wish they came in black.

As has been discussed on numerous posts, the HD fangs will not work on 2014 Ultras. The signal lamps hang further down because of the standard passing lamps so the HD version requires cutting, bending or some sort of modification. The JES Customs do work since they have a cutout up top to clear the signals. Guys on here have cut an arc on tops of HD fangs to fit but once agin, they will NOT fit 2014 Ultras without modifications.
Here's a pic of the JES chrome fangs on mine. They do work very well as designed but I'm not sure I like their looks or will keep them on.

JES sells them in black for about the same price as the HD chrome, and as mentioned they fit the 14's. Blend right in with the lowers too so can hardly be seen. Solves nearly all buffeting issues. And to the smart asses, wind vs. buffeting and chattering has been discussed ad nauseam around here. If you enjoy blurry vision, rattling helmet and eyewear, beard whipping your face, shirt blowing all over then fantastic. 99% of fang users are happy as hell with them.

+ 1 . HD part can be easily modded to clear running lights .

No fangs on my bike and yet I don't experience the issues you describe either. Odd.

Maybe it's because I removed my seat strap.

I welcome the air conditioning when I ride wearing shorts. Keeps things nice and dry down there too.
