So many used 2014's already?
Anyone else notice how many USED 2014 SG and SGS are on the market already? I just sold my 08 Road King and started looking for 2014 SGS and SG’s and found 5 of them on Craigslist with miles ranging anywhere from 20-5000. One local dealer had two used 2014 Street glides that were trade in’s and another one had a Limited and a Street glide special.
Are people just jumping in too fast on bikes they can’t handle physically and/or financially? Maybe this is a normal occurrence that happens every year (with new models) that I have yet to notice since I always tend to buy used. I can’t imagine all these folks taking such a hit.

Can't speak for the rest but I handle the physical and financial part just fine. It's the 6.5 infotainment system and the new switch layout that bugs the $h!t out of me. Thought it was just new and I would get used to it. 5k miles later, I still haven't and still don't like the switch layout. I have considered looking for a '13 to get back to the switch arrangement I like. Also I don't think the new audio system sounds as good as the old one.

I think it's financial. Easy to see how someone could fall in love after a test ride. Dealers seem more eager than normal to make trades and deals. As tempting as it is to buy a new Rushmore, I can see some having buyers remorse over the payment.
As much as I like my Limited I don't think anyone should trade up unless it's financially comfortable. The pre 14 bikes are still great bikes. Just my opinion.

It seemed like a good idea this spring but now they want the latest new snowmobile and a new deer rifle, nothing new. They are in for a surprise at how much they can get for a used bike at least in my area where left over 2014's are deep discounted at the dealers. the factory pushed a bunch on them last month.
