Default So many used 2014's already?

Anyone else notice how many USED 2014 SG and SGS are on the market already? I just sold my 08 Road King and started looking for 2014 SGS and SG’s and found 5 of them on Craigslist with miles ranging anywhere from 20-5000. One local dealer had two used 2014 Street glides that were trade in’s and another one had a Limited and a Street glide special.

Are people just jumping in too fast on bikes they can’t handle physically and/or financially? Maybe this is a normal occurrence that happens every year (with new models) that I have yet to notice since I always tend to buy used. I can’t imagine all these folks taking such a hit.

I checked and found one Ultra (Guy said he's buying a 15) and the rest looked like trade in's or prior rentals from dealers.

People trade bikes in all the time. Most folks buy the bike, ride it a thousand miles a year and then realize they are too puss to ride it anymore.

Can't speak for the rest but I handle the physical and financial part just fine. It's the 6.5 infotainment system and the new switch layout that bugs the $h!t out of me. Thought it was just new and I would get used to it. 5k miles later, I still haven't and still don't like the switch layout. I have considered looking for a '13 to get back to the switch arrangement I like. Also I don't think the new audio system sounds as good as the old one.

I think it's financial. Easy to see how someone could fall in love after a test ride. Dealers seem more eager than normal to make trades and deals. As tempting as it is to buy a new Rushmore, I can see some having buyers remorse over the payment.

As much as I like my Limited I don't think anyone should trade up unless it's financially comfortable. The pre 14 bikes are still great bikes. Just my opinion.

I haven't seen any around here yet, Mi. I do see a lot of SGS still on the floor. My dealer is making some good deals on them to make room for the 15's.

It seemed like a good idea this spring but now they want the latest new snowmobile and a new deer rifle, nothing new. They are in for a surprise at how much they can get for a used bike at least in my area where left over 2014's are deep discounted at the dealers. the factory pushed a bunch on them last month.

A salesman I know at one dealer said one guy bought the 2014 SG and a week later returned it trading down to a newer used Deluxe. Said he was a good customer so they 'didn't rape' him. I wonder what that means $$ wise.

If there is a CVO Road Glide Limited I will at least take a test ride on it, if I like it I "may" see what they will do on mine for a trade.

My wife will kill me if she even hears me talk like this so maybe she won't notice the new bike. Hahaha

I don't think it is any different than prior years - you simply were not looking ofr 13s last year.
