Default Miles per tank

Has anyone with a 2014 Limited determined the maximum miles out of a tank of gas? What I mean is have you rode until all 6 gallons were gone or almost gone and how many miles did you get? I realize setups will vary based on tunes, stock, non-stock, etc. I've ridden well beyond when the digital gauge goes LO RNG. Every time I think I have used all of the fuel, it only takes 5.5 gallons to fill the tank. The most miles I have gotten is 225. My setup is stock header, SE high flow breather, Street Cannons and SE Pro Tuner download.

My one and only best tank was 301.6 52 mpg and 5. gallons. All torturous interstate at 55 mph. No stops during that time. I don't recommend it.

I normally get 47 mpg at 65 and will run that into the 5.5 gallon range.

Im not so sure how accurate the digital fuel gauge is. On a recent 3000 mile trip down through the blueridge parkway, there were times when i would fill up and the miles to empty would vary between 230 and 280. Usually it was closer to the 250. Id always fill the tank completely full, so who knows?
We did get caught once where we forgot to fill up and were on a section of the BRP where it was 30+ miles to the next gas station and the Low Range indicator came on. I thought for sure the thing was going to run out. When we finally got to the gas station, the same thing happened as you, it took 5.5 gallons to fill it.
Not sure id want to push my luck with it again especially with the variance i see in the miles to empty.

Miles to empty is computed based upon most current riding history.

Had fun with it in Sturgis this year. Did a couple rides from Rapid City to Sturgis, then rode Vanocker Canyon, Nemo Road back to Rapid City. Pulling out of Sturgis after a refill it would show around 200 miles to low fuel. By the time I got back to Rapid it would show around 230 miles to low fuel. Fun conclusion: riding the Hills puts extra gas in your tank!

Wait...What? None of those numbers add up.

301.6 divided by 5 gallons is 60 MPG....And that's BS. Even if you burned through all 6 gallons that's still 50 MPG...Which is pretty unbelievable.

52 MPG x 5 gallons = 260 miles...52 MPG x 6 gallons = 312 miles

Can you clarify?

I have gotten 47 mpg on my 14 street glide but it was all highway. My 2007 lowrider regularly got 50 mpg on the highway.

I don't have a Rushmore (11-103ci Limited Stage One) but I keep pretty good records my best mileage as been 52.91 mpg and my worst has been 31.68 mpg with an average of 39.79 after recording 137 tanks of gas. I can get more than 5.5 gallons in the tank even took a picture once, I've squeezed in more than this just didn't take a picture and I was not pushing the bike yet, it was close reading "LO". So yes it's possible IMHO.

added: I was able to put in 5.7 or 8 I forget, but when I parked the bike it started to come out of the overflow tube by the rear tire, it was also more than 90 degrees out, I have a feeling if I just rode away I would have been fine since it was not coming out at the pump.
