Default Softward Updates

Doesn't it seem strange that we have not had a software update since Dec 9th 2017 when version 1.22.0.1 was released? Almost 13 months and the MOCO has not felt the need to update some programming error?

It is a matter of obsolescence, keeping up with the SW means having a dedicated team and the relevant cost to keep the thing running.
it is possible that to cut down the cost and the effort, MoCo decided the old boombox is fine the way it is up to the end of its days.
another thing that you have to consider is the thinking that, the more the old looks “old”, the more you will want to update to the new one, that comes with a bull bike around because you cannot update just the radio........

Newest updates are working just fine from what I see. Most issues I see people we know having is just not knowing how to set it up. Just had a friend pissed because he could not display speed and current time on the NAV screen. Took 30 seconds to show him how. Then tell him I found it by accident myself.

I took that same trip with mine., Displaying speed on the NAV is a waste though because the NAV speed is driven by the same circuit that drives the speedometer, not calculated by the GPS signal.

Check the manual for changing data fields.

I stopped one or two updates before the last one, i actually don't remember the version, but it was the last one that for me worked without any glitches and still shows the engine oil pressure right after starting by hitting the info button.

I wouldn't look for anymore updates, the "old boom" is now like an old computer running XP or Vista.

I have the latest version loaded since it was released, and it did not affect the oil pressure display on our bikes, I think it was just the M8 models that they thought oil pressure was not important, just basically an idiot light that says it is oK.

Mine works fine 97% of the time, and the only thing that comes to mind is every once in a while, I lose GPS voice directions, but if I turn the system off, and then back on, it seems to fix it. Not sure if that is a software problem or hardware problem, but I am happy with my Boom Box system.

Not surprising at all to me. I suppose their attention is on the new Boom system. I'm on the current version of the software. Granted I'm not a power user by any means, but I only see one very tiny issue, and I've gotten used to it. I would't hold your breath for another version.
