Default Rebuilt Title

Long time member, considering first Harley. I am considering the bike below. I have not seen it in person, but the price is right. The bike is denim black and the fairing is gloss black (likely a replacement). Should I go for it and have the fairing painted denim black?

I don't know where you are, but around here you can buy 15 RGS between 16 and 17g's all day long. That's with 2-3k miles and a clean title from a dealer.

Rebuilt or prior salvage bikes don't scare me, but I'd be looking for a much larger spread than 3-4 grand. The diminished value is greater than the spread

I haven't had any problem insuring or selling rebuilt titled vehicles. However in this situation you can buy that same bike with a clear title. When purchasing a rebuilt title I always use 33% to 40 % less value when purchasing. Selling is what ever the market will bare.

Salvage or rebuilt title = 25% less than clean title for a start, more depending on reason.

This is where that old saying comes into play, “Buyer beware”

Not a deal at all. I'm a car/bike dealer and I hate rebuilt titles. Hard as hell to sell. If I have to take them I pay 50% of average wholesale for them and I always off them at a auction and rarely make much of a profit. For a couple grand more you can find a clean title 2015. I just sold a 2017 road king special clean title with 3500 miles on it for $17k and I made money on it.

Salvage title and true miles unknown. Run Forrest Run! I wouldn't buy that bike at any price other than the sum of the used parts. 6 grand max.
