Are the decals on Harley tanks not under a clearcoat? How about the pinstripes on Harley fenders?

 

One thing to consider regardless of products/methods. The sooner you de-badge, the better. The paint under the badge has never been exposed to the sun, and "ghosting" can occur, which is nearly impossible to easily correct.
