Better late then never...10 5/8" from the top of the fairing to the top of the windshield.

Just my 2 cents: Tried the H-D taller 5.5" option -- improvement, but not much relief from buffeting over 50 mph. Tried the Gustafsson 12" -- much improved over the taller H-D, but the screen flexes a lot in the fairing, which was a worry that it might break (it didn't). Maybe there isn't quite enough material down in the fairing to hold it stable. Also, to me, the height and shape took away from the sport look of the FLSB. Now have the Klock Werks -- which is a very good trade off between wind protection/buffeting and looks. I agree with the comment that above 50 mph when I put my hand in front of about my neck to eyebrows, the air is fairly tame. And, as I wrote, the Klock Werks is a super look. Ideal solution would be for Klock Werks to be able to provide a bit more protection, maintain stability (without flex), and keep the great look when on the bike.

I added some supports for my larger windshield due to the concerns of the extra force on the fairing.

Has anyone else tried the Slipstreamer windshield? I'm short, and hoping the 8" will be enough to fix the lifting on my full face helmet that I noticed on my demo rides at 45+

I put the spoiler on my Gustafsson and it was an improvement. I have it adjusted where it is just peaking above the windshield.

anybody? Sliptreamer? Looking at this as my first attempt to add a shield to my Sport Glide. Looking at 10” or 12” dark smoke tint for my barracuda silver. I have an Ls2 valiant and it does pretty good with open air, but I am 6’ and I get pounded on my upper chest.

I ended up switching back to the Harley 5" screen with the spoiler. The Gustafsson was working for me pretty well with my wind deflectors (with just a little tank-area buffeting), but it was causing a lot of buffeting for my wife when she was riding along. The combo of the 5" screen, the spoiler, and my wind deflectors gets rid of 98% of the tank-area buffeting, and only picks up a little more wind noise...a nice balance. Also, it got rid of my wife's buffeting issues.

Default Found what I believe is my best option

After using the Slipstream 12" for a while on the stock fairing I went to Memphis Shades Memphis Fats 19". Put 370 miles on the bike last weekend. Back roads and expressways.

Memphis Shades Fats and Cobra 909 slip on
Don't think the stock fairing will be going back on the bike any time soon.

How is the air / buffeting around the tank?
Looks good, BTW. Sometimes the best solutions are the older proven solutions.
