Hey guys/gals. I have a 2018 Streetbob. I found this guy selling some stuff off of his 2017 street bob and he’s telling me his stuff can fit on my bike as well. His saddle men seat and his thunderheader exhaust to be specific. Can anyone confirm this? Or Does the new Softail frame not allow any dyna parts to fit.

 

I dont know about the seat, but definitely not the exhaust. You have the m8 and the 17 has the twin cam. Even if it did fit, the engines require different design headpipes and backpreasures to run optimally.

 

Easy enough to check. Ask for part numbers. Then look up on the manufacturers' websites to see if it fits your scooter.

But I'm pretty sure he's pulling your leg just to sell his stuff. It looks like few things swap even between these 2018+ Softails, e.g., seats, sissy bars, saddle bags, etc. In my case, the Low Riders look like they only swap with Sport Glides.

18 is the 1st year of the new everything - most stuff especially motor parts will not change and I know seats do not bolt up. I looked at some used stuff from a 17 to an 18..
