Just figured out my crazy electric problem the bike is over charging the battery, 18 street bob. Throws code b2272, turn signals flash crazy and indicator panel goes out. Any idea what causing bike to over charge.

Bad voltage regulator. Measure the voltage at the battery with the bike running. It should read a little over 14 volts.

Only had access tonight to battery tester with a gauge on it, was charging over 16 volts at idle.

Yeah that's almost certainly a bad voltage regulator. Over 16 volts will set the diagnostic code and shutdown your speedo. A new V/R is $160 unless it's under warranty. Easy to replace though.

What is your batteries voltage with the bike off? A defective/low battery can also cause the system to over-volt.

Had the same problem. (thanks to kenny55)
The voltage regulator has been replaced under warranty. Two days later, the battery had dropped to 5.6 volts.
It looks like the overvoltage has destroyed the battery. Battery replaced under warranty.
That was two weeks ago. So far, the problem seems to be solved.

Defective voltage regulator looks like a known problem.

Stop wasting time wondering what the problem is, take it to the dealer and have it fixed, it is under warranty.

Bike has been flashed with power vision, don’t want them giving me crap about warranty issues.
