In the process of changing handle bars, and I decided to add in some RRi front turn signals
I am in the UK which uses 1156 contacts (supports signal on/off, no running)
I now have the US style 1157 turn signal connections (signal on/off, plus running light)
I managed to wire up the front left (from riders position) signal fine according to the HD wiring diagram. Worked perfectly.
Followed the same wiring for the front right, but it just had a constant amber light, no off and no running
I tried moving the working plug, onto the right, just to see if it worked, but it didn't. This means there must have be some wiring difference required for the front left from the right?
Problem is the wiring diagram shows the same connections for both sides (as I read it)
Blue = 1
Purple = 2
Black = 3
Please could someone advise? PS. Those AWG pins are hell!
Thank you, that’s what I assumed. But following that order in the diagram didn’t seem to work. Looking to see which goes to which Pin on the socket for the right. Even swapping the working left, to the socket of the right l, resulted in the incorrect lights being on
So I looked back on the pictures I took prior to the de-pin
wiring was the same on both left and right
Now I’m puzzled as to why the left works on left fine, but then connecting the same plug to the right stops it from working...
perhaps something gone wrong on the harness side?
I have a similar problem. The purple one got pulled out when I raised the bars. Repaired and put it back in to get the old incandescent bulb wroking properly again. BUT on changing to LED, right hand turn signal doesn't work. Take it out, put the OEM back in, it works, swop, it doesn't. You get the idea. And all I am changing is the builb. Just ran a circuit tester on teh loop from the plug up to the inidicator and we have a circuit. NO idea! Might have to go to the stealer. I am sure it is soemthign very simple, just can't get it!
