Default Deluxe Guys: How hard is it to keep those white-walls white?

I would assume that you have to go through a process of washing-rinsing-moving-repeat. I have to agree with another comment I saw, that I would rather ride on a nice day than spend time washing the bike. However, it is a labor of love - and I guess we all know that.

They look GREAT when clean, but how tough is it to keep them that way? Any special detailing products you would recommend? Did anyone replace with conventional black-walls?

Any regrets getting the white walls?

As long as you stay on top of them and dont let them get black there not to bad to take care of. Magic erasers are your friend along with simple green works pretty well. once in a while i spray the eraser with a store brand bleach cleaner if the eraser/simple green combo isnt working. But weather you have whitewalls or blackwalls with chrome wheels after every ride if you run your finger along the rim you will have brake dust on your finger. Black may hide it better but you cant beat the looks of White Walls.

I clean mine about every other time I wash the bike. Amazon sells a great white wall brush for a couple dollars. Add a little Ajax and some elbow grease and you're good to go.

Just hit the tire with your purse and the dirt falls right off.

I use a Magic Eraser, too. It isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do, but it is kind of a pain. I’m seriously thinking about replacing them with straight black tires when the time comes.

I know this is old, but Wesleys or Black Magic Bleche Wite (that is the correct spelling) at Wally World, made just for whitewalls, $ 4.00. Works great. Also you could use Lyndall Dustless brake pads to cut down on the brake dust.
