It sucks that I voided my warranty but it was my choice. Has anyone else had this problem? The bike was dumping too much fuel. I couldn't get a decent tune on it after installing the 465c cam. The exhaust pipe looking into it is filthy with soot. Just wondering if it was just me?

Been happening a lot. HD has an aluminum one that can replace the plastic one (also known to warp).

Yeah. They will SELL you a part to fix a problem the bike came with. They have a catalog full of that kind of stuff.

I agree.its not the first time I hear of the plastic one warping . but its not common as the oil transfer problem that I hear so much of .so I will leave mine stock and when I do the next performance upgrade I will be changing it out since I doubt HD will do a recall on them

When I took my 2018 114ci apart to do the camshaft install I found it interesting how the air cleaner backing plate attaches to the throttle and individual cylinder heads (for the crankcase breathers). It seemed like a lot of confidence in stacking tolerances to me. I wouldnt be surprised if this put some excess stress on the intake manifold.

Nothing new there. My ‘94 Evo Softail has pretty much the same arrangement.
