Default USB location swap

So whom else thinks it’s in the wrong place?
I’m thinking of relocating it to the rear of the speed screen on my Low Rider S and powering it from the headlight supply. I’m using a Rokform bar mount on the new bars low down near the riser so it’s an ideal location.

I can’t think of a reason this would be a consumption issue for the bike but I’m open to suggestions.

It’s mounted under the LHS of the tank on the tunnel, not in the photograph

Why not just add a second USB socket where you think it should be and wire it directly to the battery? There are lots of options (make sure it has an inline fuse).

Cheers,

Like rc51owner said, install another one on the location you want, you can buy them cheap on Amazon, Ebay or even Ali and you can leave the stock one intact just in case.
