Hey all! New here and looking for advise for a new project for the fat bob. Have exhaust, cam, tuned, step-up seat, just did handlebars today, ends cuoio bags on the way, and a few little things here and there. I've pretty much fun out of ideas now, so I'm looking for any "mods" people have found to be useful / cool. Performance or esthetics. Any help is much appreciated. I have a '22 Fat Bob.
The reflectors I was considering tinting them, but losing them altogether may be a cleaner look. I was actually just looking at lower fork covers, but didn't find any in stock except a pair for $400.. 😬. New paint will be soon because I hate the new HD logo on this tank, so I may wait to do those all at once.
In the pic it looks like you have pull back risers, but you have the bars forward, which means you don't need the pull back risers.
Personally, I like the bars in line with the forks, so you could do that with straight risers.
I agree on the reflector removal, maybe new turn signals that don't stand out, possibly Brembo brake calipers off of a bagger? Hell its a Harley the list goes on and on!
Yeah, those are the stock risers. I kept them because I'm still running a 1 1/2" bar, but honestly there is something a little off about the appearance. If I go with straight risers, would I be able to lean the bars back a little if needed? Sorry, I've never done anything with handlebars and had the shop install that. The bag is strapped down and sits about 1 3/4" above the fender.
