Default air filter change???

Who has changed the round air filter housing on a softail (mine is a sport glide???
The Breather bolts appear to be brass. The manual calls for Loctite 565 which is for pipe fittings or high vibration locations. I have attempted to remove the Breather bolts but I am not confident that if they are brass and torqued to 25 lbs they should not be using 565 loctite. I have tried to see if a 3/8' breaker bar will loosen them without hitting them too hard. I can say that it seems that they are tight enough that going to a 1/2" bar will not be a successful adventure... especially with that 565 and brass combination. What has been your experience?

You help is greatly appreciated!

Mine were not brass. 1/2" breaker bar did it.

Heat helps but only with a heat gun not a torch.
