I had Harley's pop up cap and it did jam on me. This was my solution for gas caps on my Sport Glide, not so much for rattle, but because I wanted something different and the options for the fake left cap are few. I took the guts out of the left side cap and transferred them to a regular gas cap.

My Speed Kings V2 gas cap doesn’t rattle, or you can crimp the bottom edge of your oem and it’ll go away.

How are you all crimping the edge?

This thread made me inspect my OEM '07 XL1200N gas cap and yes, it is loose/ rattles.
That cap is painted by OEM silver/ grey.

Repeating, how are you all crimping?
Perhaps a specific Harbor Freight (No joke) tool?
