Default 2024 pricing

I went to a dealer and priced a 2024 Street Glide. In the itemization, there was $900 setup, and $1600 miscellaneous fee. Whats up with that?

That is all dealer add ons and will change from dealer to dealer. That's why you shop around and negotiate your deal.

My guess the $900 set up fee is dealer prep and that's about the norm. It varies. The $1600 miscellaneous fee is added dealer markup and that's enough to make you find another dealer.

Those are fees (added profit) are only charged to suckers who are too lazy to shop around (including going out of State) or not wiling to negotiate aggressively.
I'd do one of 3 things:
- give them what they want but demand the same amount over book value on my trade or walk....
- no trade? be prepared to buy on the spot, offer them msrp plus sales tax and $1000 for all their misc. BS or walk.....
- shop dealers in other States (non conglomerates and no car dealer owned stores) where you'll find much better OTD pricing.
Last weekend I watched my buddy get a 2024 RG OTD locally for $29k (I'm in SW Florida) by sticking to his guns at one of those car dealer owned stores).
Another buddy in Ohio bought a 2024 RG ST CVO Raven Black $100 under MSRP! (local family owned store).
Be prepared to shop hard for what you want or fall prey to the vultures.

They can itemize whichever way they want, what matters is OTD price.

What matters is what we are willing to pay....nothing else.
Cash is still King and we are the only one's at the table bringing cash.
The market is flooded with both dealers and bikes which can be played successfully by a savvy buyer.

Set up fee was abolished
1600 - Thats to see who's an idiot that will pay it.. Find another dealer

My new Triglide - at MSRP, no fees at all, great trade value, 1000.00 in the parts dept and 15% off that... This was Sept 2023

You'll find people here and on Facebook who claim to have bought their new _______glide special for $25000 OTD. I took that information, and ended up walking out of 3 dealerships around here, and they let me walk. I ended up waiting until midwinter here in the Northeast figuring they'd be desperate for a sale. The one I ended up with they stuck to their guns pretty well, I got them down about $800 off of the tagged price which was better than I had done back during the summer(of 2022) and it wasn't a black RGS. In the end I was happy with the deal I got, I didn't have a trade, sold mine outright because I hate paying those trade in games. I'm guessing that you're looking at msrp on the harley davidson website? Yeah, the tagged prices at the dealer(how do they arrive at that price?) are really not going to make sense to you, I don't think they're supposed to. In the end, have an OTD price in mind, that is what you're willing to pay, tack on another $1000 and you'll be good.

Is it possible to get at Msrp +tax+title only otd. Or even below msrp. No dealer fees or mark ups Or any kind of addons. I hope they are that eager for a sale. Prolly wait until end of the year ?
