Rockford Fosgate System
Well after thinking about it for a while I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded the sound on my 2006 electra glide. I got the Prime R1-HD4-9813 4 speaker system and also the R1-HD2-9813 2 speaker system for my lower fairing. I got both from Online Car Stereo for $468 delivered. I was wondering if anyone had either of these systems and could supply some feedback. I have read some good things about these and for the price it seemed like a no brainer. Also, anyone have a good place in mind to mount the second amp?
I just ordered the R1-HD2-9813, $199 with promo code and free shipping; couldn't pass it up. Did not want a system for my neighbors to hear, I just wanted better clear sound. Will post a review once I receive and install.
Okay, since nobody else wants to step forward as the harbinger of bad news I will, lol. That system is not the greatest. Rockford Fosgate has some great stuff. Unfortunately, that system is not one of them. Will it be better than stock? Yes, but almost anything is better than stock. I thought about the same systems but luckily asked before buying it. The responses can be seen here.

Better can be had for the same price point. Coincidentally while still using an RF amp....just a different one. If you're in the $300 price range I, and many others, would recommend the RF 300X2 amp with Infinity Kappas 62.11i speakers. If you have some more to spend, and we all get that not everyone does, then a set of Biketronics 7.1 or 7.1 Pros with either the BT 2180 amp or the Cerwin Vega B2 if you know you aren't expanding beyond 2 speakers. Based on the OP's post, there would be other, more powerful amps, to go with that would drive the six speakers. Some good options are with tested numbers can be reviewed in the sticky at the top of the audio forum.
