Default Speaker placement Lids Vs Lowers

I've been doing some reading on speaker lids, seen some stuff about speakers in lowers. So I'm would like to hear about some of your all's experience is between the them or some pro's and con's.

Get Both. The more speakers you have on your bike the better it sounds.

If it's one vs other the fairing lowers are going to sound better since there facing you vs behind you.

+1 for lowers. Especially on the road at speed. In the garage or parking lot the lids have great potential cause you can put a lot of speaker in there. My 02, hope it helps

I've been wondering this my self. Ive got that I will hear it at speed but what about my passanger? Better with saddle bag or lowers?

My bride can't hear the lids at speed... fyi

I'm no expert but it's a simple fact your ears are designed to hear things in front of you better than behind you. Next time your in your car or truck, cup your hand near your ear. Right hand up by right ear and turn it front to back with audio turned up a little. You will understand how much you are missing from the rears. Hope this helps

I'm going to go with the speakers in the lowers. Seems like a better idea all together to me. Thanks for the inputs. The sear for lowers being.

definitely lowers. Bought a set with speakers in them from a guy. came off a 2013 roadking and install on my 2014 street glide special..sound alot better, but im saving up for better speakers.
