Default Bt 7.1's

Y'all with the BT 7.1's might wanna take a peek in your fairing. I just opened mine after about 3 months of use and noticed the speakers them selves were cracking around the screws. I only did hand tight with blue lock tight. Already in touch with BT and I'm the first they've heard of with this issue. But here's the pictures.

I bet the fairing bracket is putting excessive force into the screw holes. Mine did not interface cleanly at first and I had to bend slightly.

Yeah they'll take care of you. I had one fail so rode over there (since it was close enough for a day ride) and got it replaced on the spot. Got a tour and all!

I just re-read and heard that you used loctite.. you don't need locktite with plastic, only a small dab of CA glue Loctite may have had a reaction to the plastic.

I once used Loctite on a Benchmade knife that had a plastic spacer, somehow it caused the spacer to crack and was told by Benchmade to not use Loctite anywhere near plastic again. So now I use a dab of RTV, so far so good... I had my fairing apart a few days ago, my 7.1's are good to go.

BT once again has outstanding customer service and replaced both my speakers. Live and learn.
