Default Which Kenwood?

So Im thinking about getting rid of the stock HK HU.

I liked the kmu555 marine I had in my street glide but want bluetooth. Id like to stick with Kenwood and am open to suggestions.

there's no right or wrong.

read up on the forum a bit.

2 important things:
4V pre-out (highly preferred)
EQ with more than 3 bands (i.e. Bass / Mid / Treble is not going to cut it IMHO but that's me)

otherwise, a 30 dollar Piece of Pyle (sh.t) or a 1000usd Pioneer will work.

marine grade is overrated BTW (again my opinion).
get a good rain cover (vtwin / Scosche / ...)

Agreed about marine grade.

Well, how do you like your 998?

I have the Kenwood KDC-X798 and although I am still learning how to use it, it seem pretty good.

something i forgot to add. think about what you will want in your headunit. for example i wanted one with dual usb ports so i could charge my phone in one and lease a usb stick plugged into the other.

I put A Kenwood in my Road Glide and although it works great, you can NOT see the faceplate in the least little bit of sun... Find something with a backlight or white face...
