So I am doing an install using the ASCW-1. It is the new version that has the pink wire, newest, and states to hook it up to the cut wire going to the handlebar controls. Haven't got that far yet but I did some testing on the Metra harness with the key on, harness plugged in but not hooked up to anything yet. What I found using a DVM is that the red wire is switched. The yellow wire is hot all the time, switch on or not. Now the most interesting thing is the black ground wire doesn't seem to show a ground at all!! Used a good known ground but could not get continuity. So I am going to ground all the ground wires to the battery since I am running an amp and have power and ground up front for my amp. Maybe this is causing some of the issues some of you are having. This is on a 2003 Ultra.
