Hogtunes 200 Watt RMS with Cerwin Vega B52?
Hi All,
I am trying to find an amp to use with my Hogtunes lid speakers. I have a 2011 Road King Classic and am probably stuck with putting the amp in one of the bags. So, enough power to drive the 200 Watt RMS 6x9's, but efficient enough to run "cool" inside a saddlebag.
I am considering the B52 from Cerwin Vega. Its specs say 250 Watt RMS. If they are accurate, will that be enough headroom?
Does anyone have experience with the Hogtunes speakers or the Cerwin Vega B52?
Thanks,
Scooter

lol. i had hogtunes 6.5 in my rear pods for bout 5 min. smoked em. pretty sure i had too much juice headed in that direction, but i figured they were $30 more than my kappas, they should probly hold up🙄. i was wrong. ill stick with the kappas. just my opinion

There are so many more better options than Hogtunes but since you spent the money already Yes the B52 is a great amp. I would say to get the B54 so you can bridge it for now and if you want to add more speakers later like on the hiway bar you will not need to get another amp. Good Luck...
