Default Speaker Ohm Question

I have a 2011 streetglide w a Hogtunes 24.2 Amp (came w bike). Stock head unit. Not knowing anything about speakers i bought a set of 6.5 4ohm speakers and put in fairing. Well come to find out the amp is a 2ohm. Seems my volume doesnt increase after 3/4 it just stays the same. Is this because of the Ohm mismatch? If i add another pair in parallel ill get the 2ohms per channel. But will that make each speaker "half as loud?" Also to those that have added speaker in their bags facing the rear wheel, can you hear at highway speeds? I dont need it extremely loud at highway speed but wife says she can barely hear fronts. I can turn volume up to max right now and its clear.

First thing you need to do is get a new amp. The hog tunes amp is not a very good amp.

Now if you want to keep the amp you will have to install 2 ohm speakers. The 4 ohm speakers is what caused your system to be "Half as loud" Get a set of Infinity 62.11i speakers and you'll be fine. Again. I suggest that you take a look at another amp.

Not helping yourself there bro. That's a 2 channel amp rated at 30 watts per channel. 4 speakers in parallel would give you 15 watts per speaker @ 2 ohms. Less than your standard aftermarket HU.

I have a set of infinity speakers sitting on my shelf I'll never use. I'll let you have em for the cost of shipping. You will need a set of 6.5 adapters if you don't have them already.
